Media Relations and Crisis Comms Expert Elevated to Senior Managing Director
New York, N.Y. – March 6, 2023 – RooneyPartners, a New York-based integrated communications agency, today announced the promotion of PR veteran Robert Cavosi to the title of Senior Managing Director. Mr. Cavosi, who joined RooneyPartners in 2015, is a 30-year PR veteran whose career has included stints on both the corporate and agency sides. Prior to joining RooneyPartners, Mr. Cavosi ran the financial services practice at Baltimore-based IMRE, and previously was an SVP at Ogilvy PR helping to manage the firm’s corporate practice. His in-house communications roles include stints at J.P. Morgan Chase, KeyBank, and Pearson, and he was a staff member of the proxy firm D.F. King.
As a consultant, Mr. Cavosi has led and managed many media relations and corporate reputation programs for large global brands, including Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp. (SMBC), Barclays Global Investors, iShares, State Street, Genpact, HD Supply, DuPont, and Wells Fargo Private Bank, among others. He has led and managed many special situations (M&As, IPOs, SPAC transactions, shareholder activism, executive changes, etc.) and crisis communications situations both as a consultant and inhouse executive and has run integrated public relations and investor programs for many small and mid-cap companies across various verticals.
