Elliot Sloane is a Senior Advisor at RooneyPartners where he will formalize and expand the firm’s expertise in transaction services, shareholder engagement and activism and crisis management.
Throughout his career, Mr. Sloane has provided strategic counsel to some of the world’s most notable organizations, ensuring effective communication to investors, the media, employees, policymakers, elected officials, and other critical audiences. He is often on the front lines with executive teams, helping them to manage through complex and difficult situations.
Mr. Sloane was most recently Senior Advisor at FTI Consulting’s Strategic Communications segment. In 1998, Mr. Sloane founded Sloane & Company, a strategic communications firm that was awarded with Corporate Agency of the Year in 2015 and Crisis Agency of the Year in both 2010 and 2012. Sloane & Company was sold to MDC Partners in 2010.
Before Sloane & Company, Mr. Sloane was Executive Vice President and General Manager of Edelman Financial Worldwide, the global financial relations practice of Edelman Public Relations Worldwide. Prior to Edelman, Mr. Sloane was Vice President, Director of Financial Media Relations at Ruder Finn. He has also worked at Morgen-Walke Associates, managing integrated investor and public relations programs, and at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Companies, where he was Manager of Public Relations and Corporate Events. Mr. Sloane began his career at Burson-Marsteller, where he served in the Financial Relations group.
Mr. Sloane holds a B.A. in English from Columbia College and is a member of the Public Relations Society in America.
